Hidden Abuse in the Baptist Church: 20/20 and Hephzibah House

Taking a brief "reprieve" from the discussion of Michael Pearl...

ABC's 20/20 recently aired an episode focusing on the abuse of young women and children within the Independent Fundamental Baptist affiliated churches (IFB), but the investigators failed to make any mention of the abuses that took place at the IFB's most infamous boarding house for “troubled girls.” Susan, a survivor of the Hephzibah House of Winona Lake, IN, describes the facility as a cruel“lock-down prison for girls who failed to live up to the religious and social expectations of their parents and churches.”

Join Jocelyn Andersen and Cindy Kunsman on Blog Talk Radio for a series of discussions regarding these hidden abuses within the Baptist Church. Sadly, the same types of abuses that occur within far too many Evangelical Churches of many denominations, not just within the IFB.
